FIRESIDE CHAT:
“Water and California's Future,” takes a look at California's water issues that affect us all and includes a panel discussion with leading UC Davis experts, moderated by Rita Sudman, executive director of the Water Education Foundation.

“Memory and Brain Fitness: Use It or Lose It.” Join a presentation by UC Davis experts to gain a better understanding of how memory works, develops and functions through a lifetime. Also learn about factors that can impair or maximize its performance.

UC Davis Annual Fund
Gifts to the UC Davis Annual Fund provide the chancellor with a source of flexible funds to respond to opportunities and initiatives that enrich student life. Since 1990, ongoing Annual Fund support from alumni, parents, students and friends has generated more than $20 million for UC Davis.
How the Annual Fund makes an impact
Over the years unrestricted gifts have funded scholarships, faculty support, events and ceremonies, and improvements to facilities and equipment, such as:
- Chancellor's Fellows Awards, which reward outstanding faculty early in their careers
- Undergraduate scholarships and the Chancellor's Achievement Awards, which reward academic achievement
- Student and community events like Commencement and Picnic Day
- Facility and equipment improvements, including new computer labs and updated classrooms in Wellman and Kerr Halls
- Public art and beautification, like the famous Arneson “Egghead” sculptures that give the campus a distinct and welcoming personality.

Donors of $1,000 or more each year become members of the UC Davis Chancellors Club and enjoy a special relationship with campus leaders and invitations to special events.
The UC Davis Parents Fund
The Parents Fund recognizes and honors parent giving to UC Davis. Gifts to the Parents Fund provide unrestricted support for the university overall, as part of the UC Davis Annual Fund. Parents Fund gifts help to broaden the opportunities available to all students — supporting all aspects of undergraduate education and experience.
